This Privacy Notice explains how CHARCO HOLDINGS LIMITED (“Charco“/”we“/”us“/”our“) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you visit our website https://charcoltd.com (“website“, “site”).
Charco takes privacy and our use of your data seriously and acknowledge the importance of protecting any personal information – that is, any information from which a person can be identified, such as names, contact details and ID information (in this Notice we call this “Personal Information“) that we hold.
We will, ordinarily, hold your Personal Information as a data controller. Whilst we aim, as a business, to give information about our privacy commitments directly to all the people whose data we hold, we do acquire some Personal Information in an indirect or incidental way. Therefore, one of the purposes of this Privacy Notice is to provide privacy information to people visiting our website, including those with whom we do not have a direct relationship.
We will ensure that your Personal Information is handled in accordance with the law. - Technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.
- Information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us and allowing us to send you email notifications and/or promotional information.
- Additional information – if you provide additional information (such as age, gender, work experience) in order to apply for a job or access restricted information, then We will collect that information.
- Preferences, We collect Personal Information about your preferences in receiving marketing information from us, your communication preferences, and information about how you use our website.
1.3 We may use your Personal Information to:
1.3.1 provide our services/receive services from you;
1.3.2 run our business affairs, including internal record keeping;
1.3.3 carry out verification checks, for example in relation to anti-money laundering and know your client procedures;
1.3.4 comply with our legal obligations;
1.3.5 manage access to our premises and for security purposes;

- HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We retain your personal information for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose of our relationship, for as long as we are legally obliged or until you object to us processing your data or withdraw your consent to us doing so.
- SHARING YOUR DATA
We share your personal data with our cloud service provider, Microsoft, whose Office 365 services we use for file storage and email. Our Microsoft hosting is located in the UK and they act as our processor.
We may also add your contact information to other cloud platforms we use to send you newsletters or to manage customer relationships. All such suppliers are processors to Charco and we carry out data protection compliance and information security due diligence on all suppliers with access to our data before working with them and during the period they provide services to us.
We may also share your data with third parties who provide us with ad measurement services on our behalf, enabling us to serve you more suitable ads. We will only share your data where you have consented to non-essential analytics and advertising cookies.
We may also share your personal information with our professional advisers including our lawyers and auditors where it is strictly necessary. It is possible that we may be required to share your data to comply with applicable laws or with valid legal processes, such as in response to a court order.
It is unlikely that we’ll ever share your personal data outside the UK or European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA). If, however, it becomes necessary for the purposes of providing our services to you, we will only share it with organisations located in countries based on the UK adequacy regulations or benefiting from a European Commission adequacy decision or on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the IDTA approved UK government which contractually oblige the recipient to process and protect your personal data to the standard expected within the EU/EEA or UK.

- You have the right of access to your personal data and can request copies of it and information about our processing of it.

- Where we are using your personal data because it is in our legitimate interests to do so, you can object to us using it this way.
- Where we are using your personal data for direct marketing, including profiling for direct marketing purposes, you can object to us doing so.
- In some circumstances, you can restrict the controller from processing your data, request a machine-readable copy of your personal data to transfer to another service provider and compel the controller to erase your personal data.
